Using internet marketing techniques on offline businesses... PURE GENIOUS!

I have been running my Salsa Club busines for several years, and I have been relying almost solely on my Website for generating new business for at least the last 2 years. So I know just how important it is to achieve and sustain a high search engine ranking.

I am proud to say that I have ranked number ONE for pretty much all of the keyword searches that I care about for the last couple of years. This has meant that I have virtually no offline advertising budget (just a few fliers & free ads) and my business has steadily grown.

As a Newbie internet marketer, I am focussing on ways to make money marketing online products and businesses. However I have to let you on a secret I just stumbled upon. I have just found out that instead of concentrating solely on online businesses, it is just as easy to earn easy cash using internet marketing techniques on offline businesses!

The main reason for this is because to offline businesses, internet marketing proves to be something new. They are not aware of this market and avenue of free marketing, which brings increased sales and profit for them. How many small businesses do you think would like to achieve what I have done with my Salsa business and gain all the benefits of FREE internet generated leads and sales? Quite a few I would imagine!

We as internet marketers have nothing to lose as all we have to do is to teach all of them the tricks of internet marketing. Basically, offline businesses at present carry out similar marketing and advertising tactics like using coupons for promoting their businesses and perhaps getting listed in the yellow pages.

However what they do not know is that they can save money through internet marketing (while we make money!). Instead of spending money printing coupons, we can teach them how to use online coupon companies for free. And instead of getting listed in the yellow pages, we just have to show them the global audience the business gets by listing their business in online yellow pages and directory sites.

We can also carry out workshops to teach them all there is to internet marketing and earn some money by charging for attending the workshop. We can also offer to start blogs for them, and manage them by adding fresh content on a regular basis, and by perhaps starting an e-newsletter for interested people to sign up for.

So you can see that by offering our internet marketing skills to local small businesses, not only do these businesses flourish, we can also earn a sizeable amount through their internet marketing.

The Second Tier Affiliate Marketing Opportunity

OK, what have I been up to since my last post?

Well I have been pretty busy scouring the internet for various opportunities and free resources. This has resulted in me joining a number of opportunities.

Now the funny thing about internet business is that every time you open one door you find yourself in a room with a bunch of other doors. So every time you join a mailing list or purchase a business package, etc. up pop a number of other opportunities & packages you wouldn't have otherwise come across.

I have just joined ClickBank Pirate which is an automated ClickBank affiliate program, and I have to say that it looks pretty good so far. I can't wait to start using it. Anyway this then led me to Daily Niche Idea which was FREE to join and once again automaticaly does a lot of the hard work for you in your affiliate marketing business. Just type in your various affiliate codes from ClickBank, PayDotCom, etc. and away you go. It's free, so nothing to lose giving it a go.

Anyway,through Daily Niche Idea I have discovered so many other affiliate marketing product sources that I had never heard of before, so it has already been worthwhile joining, and this has led me to...

The Second Tier

I have to say that as far as first impressions go they don't get any better than this. After joining the Affiliate Program I logged on to my members page where I found a short 30 minute 'Quick Start' training video which I was very impressed by. It explained some very basic, very effective marketing strategies that have been left out (as usual) of most training courses I have spent good money on. These training courses have often been very good, but I have often felt that I was still missing the basic, yet VITAL, information I needed to get started.

I will keep you informed (as usual) as to how it goes, but if first impressions count for anything, I feel certain I will be reporting good things very soon. I strongly recommend you check out The Second Tier affiliate program, especially as it is free to join!

The Attraction of an Internet Business

As I run most of my Salsa Clubs & Classes during the evenings I tend to have the daytime to work on promoting and updating the website along with writing the club newsletters. When I had a normal day job, I was be left with very little time to do these vital jobs except in the early hours when I got back from teaching salsa. This meant I didn't get nearly enough sleep and the jobs didn't get done anywhere near as often or as well as they needed to be.

I am currently unemployed, so I have all the time I need...
BUT NO MONEY!

The best answer to this problem would be a flexible job or business that I can run from home when I have the time, and provide me with a reasonable income. Not too much to ask is it?
The ideal solution would seem to be an Internet Business of some kind.

This brings me to where I am now, trying to find legitimate ways to earn an income from the internet. The best ones would appear to be various forms of Internet Marketing. On the surface this would appear to be quite straight forward. You have Ebay, Amazon, etc. for selling products, Clickbank, Commision Junction, etc. offering Affiliate Marketing Opportunities where you don't need your own product, Google Adsense offering income from your own website...
The list goes on!

However, once you try to do any of these you realise it is not that straight forward after all. There is a lot of competition from Experienced Internet Entrepreneurs who know what they are doing, and I always seem to find some kind of obstacle I can't seem to get over, the most difficult being traffic and working with virtualy no advertising budget.

One thing I do know though is that everyone has to start somewhere, and I have to just go for it and be prepared for making as many mistakes along the way as it takes. As long as I don't give up I will get there.This week I took a couple small steps, and created 2 websites whichshould earn me some money if I can get traffic to them... Any help/advice would be appreciated!
